Surprise — Wynwood is also getting into the food hall hysteria with the opening of 1-800-LUCKY marketplace later this month. The space will feature seven food vendors, a karaoke bar, a vinyl store, a small theater, and the neighborhood’s first convenience store at 143 NW 23rd Street.

Brought to life by the team behind Coyo Taco, Sven Vogtland and Alan Drummond, in partnership with Gaby Chiriboga, the 10,000-square-foot space will serve up Asian cuisine including sushi, buns, peking duck, ramen, and dim sum.

On the culinary roster are Lotus + Cleaver, a new concept that serves Chinese barbecue, wok dishes and peking duck; Bahn Mi, a charcoal Vietnamese concept; Hayato Miami, Shimuja’s new brand from Japan serving traditional ramen; MYUMI, the omakase food truck concept that has popped up throughout Wynwood; YIP, a concept by Gold Marquees Fine Chinese Cuisine, serving up dim sum; Poke OG, from Anaheim, California, will have poke bowls, and Taiyaki, the Japanese fish-shaped ice cream cones that can be spotted all over Instagram.

Along with the food, there will be a Lucky Records featuring a mix of old and new releases plus plenty of live weekly performances, along with the a convince store selling everything from water to lottery tickets. Stay tuned for more updates.
