So we all know that drones have officially taken the eff over and IG photographers and drone hobbyist alike have embraced the new consumer drones with open arms. These drones can take you to heights you would never be able to afford on a consistant basis for most photographers. Hell, look at the above footage I took of the historic Biltmore Hotel with a DJI Phantom 2 and a GoPro 4. Crispy #noflexzone vibes in what was apparently a #noflyzone. And not by the Biltmore’s doing, but by the federal regulations that forces a 5-mile “No Fly Zone” radius around all medium and larger sized airports in the nation. Furthermore, national parks, Disney World and all of Washington D.C. are no-fly zones. But after noticing that my drone was acting a little funny and had a height restriction (which varies depending how far out or far in the no fly zone you are) I started looking up maps of restricted “drone” airspace.
