MIAMI—October 26, 2016—U.S. Century Bank announces the addition of Jose “Joe” Garcia as Senior Vice President / Lender within its Corporate Lending division.
As a Corporate Lender, Garcia will be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with market clients, anticipating needs and working directly with senior management to deliver long-term solutions aimed at business expansion. As part of the Corporate Lending team, Garcia will also assist in areas ranging from asset-based lines of credit to integrated treasury management.
“Jose’s past experience and knowledge of middle market lending will make him a valuable new addition to our Corporate Lending area,” said Luis de la Aguilera, President and CEO of U.S. Century Bank.
Most recently, Garcia held the position of Vice President Middle Market Lender at Mercantil Commercebank where he built a loan portfolio of $33 million in a two-year period. Previous work at SunTrust Bank as 1st VP Global Trade Solutions Sales Officer had him responsible for developing and executing sales strategies targeting trade finance and trade service products.
Garcia graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He later attended the University of Wisconsin’s Graduate School of Banking.
